Steel billet prices in China’s key steel production hub of Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 25 Nov’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 4,320/t ($676/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,471/t ($700/t), a decrease of RMB 31/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
