SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines), in Odisha fell by INR 250/t to INR 29,800/t exw-Rourkela on 25 Nov’21. Around 1,270 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 29,700-29,900/t exw. According to sources, dull demand as well as falling steel billet prices, which declined by INR 350/t today, put sponge iron prices under pressure.
