SAIL conducted an auction today for 8,000 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 37,100/t exw, sources informed. At the previous auction on 16 Nov, buyers booked 8,000 t at INR 37,200/t. However, the company’s management did not approve the auction on expectation of higher prices.
