SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (70:30, mix material) in Odisha inched down by INR 500/t to INR 36,000/t exw-Rourkela on 21 Oct’21. Around 1,000 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 36,000-36,500/t exw. According to sources, dull demand as well as a sharp decrease in coal prices put sponge iron prices under pressure.
