Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a purchase tender for 10,500 t (25-50 mm) of silico manganese 60-15 grade on 19 Oct’21 from its IISCO steel plant in Burnpur, West Bengal. SteelMint’s daily silico manganese (10-50mm, 60-14) index was assessed at INR 119,000/t exw-Durgapur on 9 Oct’21. Prices have increased on burgeoning power costs and fast-rising global prices.
