India’s scrap import prices remained rangebound compared to last week, as per SteelMint reports. Only a few deals were heard as there is a huge gap between bids and offers. Buyers are opting to wait for further correction in prices.
- A few bookings for Brazil-origin HMS were reported at $480/t CFR Nhava Sheva.
- SteelMint’s assessment for UAE-origin HMS 1 is now at $480-485/t CFR Nhava Sheva.
- The assessment for UK/Europe-origin containerised shredded scrap stands at $530/t CFR Nhava Sheva, marginally down by $2/t.
