MMK Group’s Turkey-based facility, MMK Metallurgy, has recorded the highest-ever production of hot-dip galvanised steel products at 86,440 t, as per latest reports. The re-launch of the electric steelmaking shop with a foundry and rolling module helped in achieving this new production record, the group’s CEO Pavel Shilyaev said. At present, hot tests have been successfully completed at the workshop and the company is gradually ramping up production capacity, he added. The company aims to achieve 200,000-260,000 t of hot-rolled steel production in CY’21.
