In a confirmed deal, 15,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 8,750/t, ex-Gopalpur, while 3,000 t was sold at INR 8,100/t, ex-Mangalore. At Gangavaram offers remained firm at INR 8,000/t. Portside trading at major Indian ports continued to remain dull amid tepid demand from the sponge iron sector.
