Major Indian steel mills have reportedly booked around 40,000 t of HRC for exports to the UAE, SteelMint learnt from sources. Deal prices stood at around $1,030-1,040/t, CFR, for Jul-Aug ’21 shipments. Indian mills have been exploring the Middle East and Turkey markets for exports due to exhausted EU quotas and low buying interest from Vietnam.
