India: JSW crude steel production drop by 9% in Feb ’21

JSW Steel Ltd. reported a monthly decline of 9% in crude steel production at 1.306 mn t in Feb ’21 as compared to 1.432 mn t a month ago. The average capacity utilization in Feb ’21 was 93% whereas a month ago it was 96%. Meanwhile, flat steel output was down by 9% and long steel output by 5% in Feb ’21, SteelMint learned from the latest press release in BSE. Sluggish domestic demand and bearish market sentiments resulted in decline of company’s steel output.
