Steel-maker AM/NS India is set to expand capacity to 8.5 mn t from the current 7.5 mn t, ArcelorMittal Chairman Aditya Mittal has informed. The company’s long-term aim is to increase production capacity to 12-15 mn t per annum. The integrated steel producer is planning to ramp up downstream capacities to produce value-added steel for the auto sector and other high-value products.
