WSA – Global crude steel production falls over 4% y-o-y in Mar’26

Global crude steel production fell by 4.2% y-o-y to 159.9 mnt in Mar’26, according to the World Steel Association (WSA).

• China’s production declined by 6.3% y-o-y to 87 mnt.
• India’s output rose by 9.4% y-o-y to 15.3 mnt.
• Japan’s production dropped by 4.1% y-o-y to 6.9 mnt.
