World's Pig iron output in January 2013 was 90 MnMT in total, which moved up by 3% in comparison to December 2012 and by 5.85% YoY.

In January 2013, China was world's leading Pig iron producer with a total output of 52.3 million metric ton (MnMT).
It contributed 58.2% of the global production. In comparison to December 2012, the figure increased by 9.4%.
In the year 2012, world's total Pig iron production stood at 1.1 billion metric tons, which was a rise of 1.7% YoY.
