World’s iron ore and pellet export shipments marginally up in Q3CY’21

The world’s cumulative iron ore and pellet export shipments in Q3CY’21 were recorded at 385 mn t, a marginal increase of 1% q-o-q as compared to 381 mn t in Q2CY’21, according to data maintained with SteelMint.

• Australia was the top exporter at 213.7 mn t vis-a-vis 218.1 mn t in the previous quarter.
• Other major exporters were Brazil and South Africa at 100.2 mn t and 17 mn t respectively.
• India exported 4.8 mn t in Q3CY’21 as against 13.8 mn t in Q2CY’21.
