World iron ore & pellet export shipments up 5% y-o-y in CY’20

World iron ore and pellet export shipments rose by 5% y-o-y to 1,531 mn t in CY’20 against 1,464 mn t in CY’19, as per vessel line up data compiled by SteelMint. Australia continued to remain the world’s largest exporter with 875 mn t (up by 4% y-o-y). Exports from Brazil rose marginally by 2%. Exports from India jumped remarkably by 67% y-o-y in CY’20.
