World crude steel production shows modest growth y-o-y in Nov’24: WSA

The World Steel Association (WSA) has revealed that crude steel production of the 71 countries that report to it went up by 0.8% y-o-y to 146.8 mnt in Nov’24. However, production volumes fell by 3% m-o-m against 151.2 mnt in Oct’24.

• China’s output increased by 2.5% y-o-y to 78.4 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 4.5% y-o-y to 12.4 mnt.
• Japan’s production dropped by 3.1% y-o-y to 6.9 mnt.
