The World Steel Association (WSA) reported that crude steel production for the 71 countries has declined by 5% y-o-y to 155.7 mnt in Apr’24. Moreover, production volumes fell by 3% m-o-m against 161.2 mnt in Mar’24.
China’s output declined by 7.2% y-o-y to 85.9 mnt.
India’s production increased by 3.6% y-o-y to 12.1 mnt.
Japan’s production decreased by 2.5% y-o-y to 7.1 mnt.
