World crude steel production falls over 4% y-o-y in Jan’25: WSA

As per World Steel Association (WSA), crude steel production of the 69 countries that report to it edged down by 4.4% y-o-y to 151.4 mnt in Jan’25.

• China’s output decreased by 5.6% y-o-y to 81.9 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 6.8% y-o-y to 13.6 mnt.
• Japan’s production dropped by 6.6% y-o-y to 6.8 mnt.
