World crude steel output largely stable y-o-y in October: WSA

Crude steel output of the 64 countries tracked by the World Steel Association (WSA) remained largely stable y-o-y at 147.3 mnt in Oct’22. However, output dropped by 3% as against 151.7 mnt in Sep’22.

• China’s output increased 11% y-o-y to 79.8 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 2.7% y-o-y to 10.5 mnt.
• Japan’s output declined by 10.6% y-o-y to 7.3 mnt.
