Crude steel output of 64 major steel-producing nations went up by 4.1% to 150.20 mn t in Feb ’21 as against 144.28 mn t in CPLY, according to the data released by World Steel Organization. Improvement in demand with revival of economic activities across the globe led to the increase in production volumes. China churned out 83 mn t of crude steel, followed by India at 9.1 mn t and Japan at 7.5 mn t in Feb ’21.
