World Crude Steel Output Inch Down 1% in Jul’19

As per recently released data by World Steel Association (WSA) total crude steel production of 66 steel manufacturing countries inched down by 1% to 156.891 MnT in Jul’19 as compared to 158.935 MnT in Jun’19.

Meanwhile on yearly premise world steel output increased by 2% in Jul’19 in comparison to 153.981 MnT in Jul’18.

However in first seven months of (Jan-Jul) CY’19 world steel output stood at 1083.558 MnT, registering an increase of 5% against 1036.616 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

SteelMint has analyzed world’s crude steel production numbers of major steel producing countries-

China’s crude steel output down by 3% M-o-M in Jul’19- China crude steel output witnessed marginal fall by 3% to 85.223 MnT in Jul’19 against 87.533 MnT in Jun’19.

However on yearly premise the same moved up by 5% in Jul’19 in comparison to 81.180 MnT in Jul’18.

In first seven months (Jan-Jul) of CY’19 nation’s crude steel output rose by 9% to 577.064 MnT which was 529.348 MnT in Jan-Jul’18.

India’s crude steel output fell marginally by 1% M-o-M in Jul’19- As per WSA (World Steel Association) India’s crude steel output inched down by 1% to 9.215 MnT in Jul’19 against 9.338 MnT in the preceding month.

However on yearly basis the same inched up by 2% in Jul’19 against 9.059 MnT in Jul’18.

In first seven months (Jan-Jul) of CY19 nation’s crude steel output marginally up by 5% to 66.188 MnT as against 63.289 MnT in Jan-Jul’18.

Japan’s crude steel output down by 5% M-o-M in Jul’19- Japan crude steel output stood at 8.387 MnT in Jul’19 fell by 5% M-o-M basis as compared to 8.794 MnT in the previous month.

However on yearly basis the same remained largely stable in Jul’19 in comparison to 8.420 MnT in Jul’18.

In first seven months (Jan-Jul) of CY’19 nation’s crude steel output inched down by 3% to 59.473 MnT which was 61.386 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

United States crude steel output up by 4% M-o-M in Jul’19- USA crude steel output stood at 7.514 MnT in Jul’19, marginally up by 4% against 7.244 MnT in previous month.

On yearly premise the same registered an increase of 2% in Jul’19 as compared to 7.383 MnT in Jul’18.

In first seven months (Jan-Jul) of CY’19 nation’s crude steel output up by 5% at 51.827 MnT against 49.442 MnT in Jan-Jul’18.

Crude steel production of other top steel producing countries in Jul’19 is as follows Russia: 6.200 MnT, South Korea: 6.160 MnT, Germany at 3.360 MnT, Turkey 2.925 MnT and Brazil: 2.449 MnT and Iran is 2.200 MnT.
