World crude steel output has declined by 1.4% Y-o-Y to 443.03 MnT in Q1 CY20, according to data released by WSA. World’s largest steel producer – China reported increase in output by 1.2% to 234.45 MnT. However production of other major countries like India, Japan, United States and South Korea observed decline. Mar’20 output fell by 6% Y-o-Y due to shut-downs over pandemic.
