The world crude steel output declined by 3% in 9M CY ’20 (Jan-Sep) to 1,347 mnt as compared with 1,392 mn t in CPLY, as per the recent data released by World Steel Association. The recovery is slow due to the worst-hit Jan-Jun ’20 period, however, there was an increase in market activities in countries across the globe. On the month the volumes remained largely stable at 156 mn t in Sep ’20.
