- Iron Pellets producers offered at Rs 500/MT more as market requirement moved up
- Suppliers were uninterested to export Pellets on growing domestic sales and high railway freight charges but there is little scope for imports on rising prices
- For the coming week, An official at Ardent Steel Ltd & a sponge iron manufacturer hold the following views: “Less output or absolutely no production by sponge manufacturers on iron ore short supply might restrict further rise in Pellets demand and offers should sustain at current levels for around two weeks as any further upward movement will not be accepted by buyers on unchanged sponge iron prices and as iron ore supply might fall by 30% more if things remain unresolved”
