Domestic melting scrap prices in western India (Jalna) observed a slight uptrend against last week’s assessment due to tightness in supply movement amid 10-days lockdown. Current trade reference price of HMS (80:20) stands at INR 19,800/t FoR. Market participants expect prices to remain at the same range in near term.
