Domestic melting scrap prices in major consuming markets of western India including Jalna, Maharashtra remained stable for the second consecutive day, while in other locations it fell marginally by INR 100/t except in Alang (Gujarat) market. In Alang, prices declined by INR 300/t d-o-d basis. The current trade price is assessed at INR 23,600-23,900/t in Jalna & INR 23,000-23,300/t in Chennai (DAP).
