Domestic melting scrap prices in western India (Jalna) observed a sharp hike of INR 500/t d-o-d following hike in semi-finished (billet) as well as finished steel (rebar) prices. Current price is reported at INR 23,700/t FoR. Near term prices may inch up, SteelMint learnt from trade participants.
