Domestic melting scrap prices in Jalna, inched up by INR 100/t d-o-d while in other major markets, the same were down by INR 100-400/t. The current trade price stood at INR 24,000-24,200 in Jalna and INR 23,700-24,000 in Chennai (DAP). Market sources expect scrap price to remain volatile in the near-term due to lack of demand and trades in finished steel.
