Western India: Jalna based rolling mills further reduce rebar offer by up to INR 1,500/t ($20)

Jalna (Maharashtra) based rebar mills have decreased their rebar prices by up to INR 1,500/t. Current rebar (10-25 mm) offer stands at INR 45,500/t exw. As per market participants, prices dropped owing to declining raw material prices and lower offers in competitive markets like Raipur in the central region. Notably, Jalna is a major rebar manufacturing hub in western India with an average production capacity of 10,000 t per day by all mills.
