Mono Steel India Ltd – one of the major rebar manufacturers in Gujarat, has put its rebar mill under maintenance shutdown till the month end, SteelMint learned from sources. As a result of this, the company will not be offering rebars in the spot market for the time. This will affect the supply side and may strengthen the rebar prices in the region. Mono Steel has a rolling capacity of about 0.22 mn t pa.
