Vedanta Resources – a premium grade pig iron producer based in Gujarat, has concluded foundry pig iron tender for two rakes (equivalent to 4,350 t) for northern India. Price in recent auction is around INR 29,300/t exw (equivalent to INR 33,000/t FoR Phillaur, Ludhiana), as per sources however, confirmation from officials could not be received. The company’s previous tender for the same quantity received bids at INR 29,500/t exw.
