Western India-based rebar producers raise gauge parity

Rebar manufacturers in Jalna, Maharashtra have increased the gauge parity by INR 500/t from 12 Oct’21 for all sizes (10-25 mm stands at INR 3,500/t, while 8 mm and 32 mm are at INR 4,500/t) to improve the conversion spread. The conversion spread was assessed at INR 4,123/t, down by around 3% in Sep’21 against Aug’21. The spread, before the revision of gauge parity, was assessed at around INR 3,400-3,600/t.
