Western India based mills book another 40,000 t bulk scrap cargo

Gujarat-based steel mills have booked 40,000 t EU-origin bulk scrap cargo recently comprising 36,000 t of HMS 1&2 (70:30) and 4,000 t of bonus at an average price of $366/t CFR Kandla.
The vessel was learnt to have been booked towards last weekend. Nearly four bulk scrap cargo bookings were done last week by Indian mills.
India’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 3.78 mnt in CY’21.
