Kalika Steel Alloys Pvt. Ltd. (Kalika TMT) – a major re-bar mill in Maharashtra’s Jalna – has reduced re-bar offers by INR 500/t. The current induction furnace route Fe 500 re-bar offer for 10-25 mm material stands at INR 47,000/t exw, sources shared with SteelMint. Prices have decreased owing to weakening demand and higher inventories at mills which are pressuring manufacturers to reduce offers, sources reported. The company has a production capacity of 0.48 mn t/year.
