SteelMint learned that buyers from Bhiwadi and Jaipur prefer purchasing semi-finished steel from Raipur, Rourkela and Durgapur as offers here are lower in comparison to their local market. Offers in Bhiwadi and Jaipur for billet are at Rs 30,800/MT and Rs 30,700-800/MT (Basic) respectively. Whereas, offer for billet from Raipur and Rourkela to Jaipur was at Rs 30,100-200/MT FOR price in the consignment.
Meanwhile, Durgapur sold billet at Rs 30,300-400/MT FOR basis price to Bhiwadi and Jaipur. Domestic demand in Eastern region is not energetic which enforced the manufacturers to sell material outside the State.
Mandi Gobindgarh continues to trade MS Ingot at a low price of Rs 31600-700/MT (Basic) with limited production and demand for finished steel.
