Welspun auctioned 667MT rejected plates lot at an average basic prices of Rs 33412++/t Ex-Kutch on 08/08/12. Present fresh stock of plate for 5-10MM is sold at Rs. 38500++/ton.
“The material that was auctioned was rejected plate as per IS standard and was sold at a discount of Rs 5000/tone”, said market sources. Welspun auctioned such material every month with a lot size vary from 500-1000MT.
