Indian silico manganese (60-14) prices were mostly steady with slight decline by INR 50/t ($1/t) w-o-w to INR 73,600-74,500/t ($765-774/t) across key markets. Prices remained largely stable as weak buying sentiment offset tight near-term availability. Buyers delayed purchases awaiting MOIL’s August ore price revision, while sellers maintained firm offers against pending deliveries.
Meanwhile, HC 65-16 silico manganese export prices also fell by $16/t to $891/t FOB Vizag/Haldia.
Ferro manganese prices remain mostly stable as sellers resist discounts
Indian ferro manganese (70%) prices remained largely steady with a slight w-o-w rise by INR 200/t ($2/t) to INR 78,400/t ($815/t) in Raipur and by INR 200/t ($2/t) to INR 78,200/t ($813/t) in Durgapur. However, export prices of the 75% grade also dropped by $5/t w-o-w to $913/t FOB Vizag/Haldia. Domestic prices stayed firm as sellers resisted discounts, while weak export demand and cautious overseas buying pressured export offers.
Imported manganese ore prices continue to slide w-o-w
Imported manganese ore prices declined w-o-w. Australian Mn46% was at $5.24/dmtu, down by $0.04/dmtu w-o-w, Gabonese Mn44% prices stood at $5/dmtu, down by $0.09/dmtu, and South African Mn37% stood at $4.43/dmtu, down by $0.07/t w-o-w.
Additionally, Eramet Comilog, a leading Gabonese manganese ore supplier, reduced its September 2026 offer prices to $4.90/dmtu CIF China for Mn44.5% lumps and $4.70/dmtu for Mn43% chips, both down by $0.2/dmtu m-o-m.
Ferro chrome prices slide w-o-w as buyers remain on sidelines
Indian high-carbon ferro chrome (HC 60%, Si: 4%) prices eased by INR 500/t ($5/t) w-o-w to INR 121,000/t ($1,257/t) exw-Jajpur. Market witnessed a marginal correction over the week as subdued buying interest weighed on trading activity. Major stainless steel producers had already completed their procurement, resulting in limited fresh inquiries across the domestic market.
Ferro silicon prices ease as market awaits Bhutan’s Aug’26 announcements
India ferro silicon (Si 70%) prices dropped w-o-w by INR 600/t ($6/t) at INR 87,900/t ($913/t) ex-works Guwahati, while Bhutan prices fell by INR 900/t ($9/t) to INR 86,800/t ($902/t).Weak downstream demand and buyer caution ahead of Bhutan’s August pricing decisions continued to weigh on market sentiment.
Meanwhile, according to market sources, Bhutan’s August ferro silicon offers have declined by INR 3,000/t ($31/t) m-o-m to INR 87,000/t ($912/t) ex-works, with the official price announcement expected early next week.
Noble alloys prices reflect mixed trends w-o-w
Indian ferro molybdenum prices remained mostly stable by INR 4,000/t ($42/t) w-o-w to INR 4,275,000/t ($44,417/t) ex-works, the global market remained firm. Firm global molybdenum prices and balanced domestic supply-demand fundamentals kept ferro molybdenum prices largely stable.
Indian ferro vanadium prices remained stable w-o-w at INR 1,337,000/t ($13,891/t) ex-works Raipur in the assessment. Prices were supported by adequate inventories and limited buying activity, while seasonal demand weakness and softer Chinese vanadium pentoxide prices capped any upward momentum.
India’s ferro titanium market extended its gains this week, with BigMint’s ferro titanium (Ti:70%) assessment increasing by INR 16,000/t ($167/t) w-o-w to INR 371,000/t ($3,876/t) exw-India. Prices remained supported by tight raw material and finished alloy availability, while steady spot buying from consumers sustained the upward momentum.
IEX spot prices slide w-o-w
Electricity prices on the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) averaged INR 5.032/unit during 26 July- 1 August 2026, dipped from INR 5.63/unit in the previous week.
