Week-17: Structure Market Update

Indian small scale manufacturer have decreased the structure prices this week by INR 1,600/MT W-o-W amid decline in ingot/billet prices.

Sponge prices have declined led to low demand in semis that have striped structure offers in domestic market in a weekly time.

Following billet 125×125 mm & ingot 3.5×4.5 inch prices have fallen by INR 2,000/MT, especially in south region.

Major correction in prices is seen in Central India in light structure by INR 1,600/MT and Durgapur has also reported price correction by INR 500/MT respectively due to less production and demand.

Meantime, South market has also registered downturn side by INR 1,000/MT; demand is low in Hyderabad market amid less trade activities in summer.

However, offers in Ghaziabad are steady in a week time, owing to low demand; another reason is decline in heavy structure offer in Central India by INR 1,500/MT; trade discount heard at INR 400-600/MT.

Heavy structure 200×75 mm is being offered in Durgapur at INR 33,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 35,800/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 32,500/MT, Mumbai at INR 33,600/MT and in Raipur at INR 30,500/MT.

Heavy beam 200×100 mm are assessed in Durgapur at INR 33,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 35,200/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 32,300/MT, Mumbai at INR 34,100/MT and in Raipur at INR 30,000/MT.

Angle 40×40 mm offers are assessed in Durgapur at INR 33,500/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 31,800/MT, Mumbai at INR 32,900/MT, Raipur at INR 29,700/MT and in Hyderabad at INR 33,000/MT.
