Waning Shipping Activity Keeps Bulk Shipping Freight Rates Steady

Bulk shipping freight rates have remained steady after a brief spell of higher shipping activity, which arose on account of higher coal shipments to China and India.

Speculations of freight rates going lower are also rife among ship-brokers as shipping activity is likely to wane in the coming days.

Recently, coal imports have risen among Indian and Chinese buyers that led to slight increase in freight rates.
