Vizag Steel, state owned and one of India’s largest steelmakers, is looking to export some steel products to Nepal. The material offered under tender comprises of minimum 2,750 MT wire rod coils and minimum 2,750 MT of blooms. The quantity to be procured can be maximum upto 27,500 MT, depending upon the bidders interest. The shipment is scheduled till 31 Oct’15.

The delivery of the material will be done on basis of ex-plant, Vishakhapatnam. Interested bidders can submit their quotations till 14 Sept’15 at 15.00 hrs and technical bids will open on the same day at 15.30 hrs. Price bids will open on 17 Sept’15 at 15.30 hrs.
Last export tender received decent response
On 1 July’15, the company had floated an export tender to export minimum of 2,750 MT bloom, billet and wire rod each, with scheduled technical bids to open on 21 July’15. It is heard that the company concluded the deal for 150 X 150 bloom at USD 330/MT, FoB East Coast India.
