Vizag Steel, India’s state-owned and one of the primary producers has floated an export tender for 13,750 MT MS Billet and 2,750 MT Wire rod coils to Nepal.
The offered quantity of the billet should be multiple of 5 rake and limited to 1 rake. For wire rod coils it should be equivalent to 1 rake.

The length of the billet should be 12 meters approx
The last date for submission of bids will be 11 Jul’16. The last date of the delivery shall be 31 Aug’16 and the delivery basis is Ex-plant, Visakhapatnam. The offer shall be valid up to 11 Jun’16.
Last billet export tender received moderate response
On 2 Jun’16, the company had floated an export tender for 22,000 MT billet/bloom with scheduled technical bids to close on 11 June’16 to Nepal.
In its export tender, the company had managed to sell around 15,000 MT of billet/bloom. According to trade sources, the deal had been concluded at around USD 306/MT Ex-work basis for Nepal.
SAIL offers billet at similar prices in line with Vizag Steel
Bhilai Steel Plant, a unit of SAIL-another major steel exporter, is currently offering billet (105*105 mm) to Nepal at USD 305/MT Ex-Works Basis. Whereas, DSP (Durgapur Steel Plant), is currently offering the same grade material at USD 325/MT ex-Works Basis.
