Vizag Steel has floated a tender for export of Billet and Bloom. The company is offering a total quantity of 30,000 MT material in its export tender for all destinations.
The company, in the tender issued, has offered around 20,000 MT bloom (150*150 mm) and 10,000 MT billets (90 X90 mm) for February and March shipment respectively.
Interested bidders should submit their quotations on FoB Visakhapatnam Port or Gangavaram Port on the direct export basis. The last date for bid submission is 20 Jan’17 and the validity of the offer is till 27 Jan’17.

Last billet/bloom export tender concluded at USD 383/MT, FOB Vizag Port
Vizag Steel’s last export tender for 25,000 MT blooms (150 X 150 mm) and 10,000 MT billets (90X90 mm) was closed on 15 Nov’16 for December shipment.
According to sources, the tender attracted 6 participants. For, 25,000 MT blooms (150X150 mm) lot, the tender has been concluded at USD 383/MT, FoB Vizag Port. The other lot of 10,000 MT billet (90X90 mm) attracted 2 participants. The highest bid received was at USD 382.2/MT, FoB Vizag Port followed by second highest at USD 381/MT, FoB Vizag Port.
It is to be noted that, the company offered around 11,000 MT billet of size 90X90 mm for Nepal (via road) which closed on 19 Dec’16. Company has concluded the tender around USD 395-396/MT (equivalent to INR 26,300/MT) on ex-plant basis.
