Vizag Steel, state owned and one of the largest billet and bloom exporters in India, has concluded an export deal for 80,000 MT bloom. The company had offered 100,000 MT bloom and 30,000 MT billet, expired on 15 Dec’15. The material is expected to be shipped by first week of Feb’16.
As per industry sources, the company has concluded the deal for 80,000 MT bloom with a Singapore based trading company at USD 262/MT, FoB Vizag Port. While, billet offered in the tender remained unsold. The shipment is expected to move to Bangladesh.
The company’s last export deal for 60,000 MT bloom closed in Nov’15 was also shipped to Bangladesh. The deal was concluded at USD 267/MT FoB Vizag port.

Vizag Steel issues export tender for 90,000 MT billet & bloom for African, ASEAN and Middle East and Latin American countries till 25 Jan’16.
Company’s last billet, bloom tender for Africa, ASEAN and Middle East held in first week of Dec’15, went unnoticed, without receiving any participation.
