VSP floated a 30,000 tons steel grade Pig Iron exports tender on the 31st of July that was re-tendered on weak response.
“The tender has finally been concluded at around $410/t on FOB (Free on Board) basis by Stemcor, a UK based steel trader and shipment of the material will take place anytime in September,” said a company official who refused to be named.
It is also heard that MMTC has concluded a Pig Iron exports deal at $407/t FOB Paradeep port.
Current prices in Indian domestic market stand in the rangeof Rs 24,000-25,000/t ($430-440/t) Ex-Mills.
