Vietnam’s bulk coal imports fall m-o-m in Aug’24

Vietnam’s bulk coal (coking, non-coking, and met coke) imports dropped by 8% m-o-m in Aug’24 to 4.8 mnt against 5.2 mnt in Jul’24, as per data collected by BigMint.
Australia emerged as the major exporter at 1.6 mnt, followed by Indonesia at 1.4 mnt.
Imports rose by 34% y-o-y in Jan-Aug’24 to 37.3 mnt against 27.9 mnt in Jan-Aug’23.
