Ferrous scrap import prices into Vietnam, a major scrap importer, fell by $8/t in a fresh deal, sources informed SteelMint.
A US-origin scrap cargo was booked by a steel mill in Vietnam consisting of 30,000 t of bulk heavy melting scrap (HMS) 1&2 (80:20) at $490/t CFR.
Vietnam’s scrap import volumes stood at 0.66 mn t in Jul’21.
