Vietnam’s steel imports stood at 8.3 mn t in the first seven months of 2020, down 0.8% compared to corresponding period last year. However, July imports at 1.6 mn t was up 30.9% on year. As per data maintained with SteelMint, Vietnam imported 14.6 mn t of steel in 2019-a spurt of 7.6% over 2018.
