Vietnam: Steel exports fall nearly 40% on month in Feb’22

Vietnam’s steel exports stood at 0.47 mnt in Feb’22, down 39% as against 0.77 mnt a month ago, as per data maintained with SteelMint. Imports, too, fell 12% to 0.89 mnt in Feb’22 versus 1.01 mnt in Jan.

A slowdown in trade activities during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays and higher import prices resulted in lower exports and imports.
