Imported HRC offers have increased marginally by USD 5/MT from key nations, this week on active buying by importers in Vietnam.
Current imported HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm) offers to Vietnam-
— China- Benxi Steel’s offer stands at USD 460/MT CFR basis. Last week the offer was around USD 455/MT CFR basis.
— Japan- JFE steel is offering at USD 450/MT CFR basis.
— South Korea- Hyundai Steel’s offer stands at USD 450/MT CFR basis. Last week the offer was around USD 445/MT CFR basis.
— Indian steel mills offering HRC at USD 440/MT CFR basis. In the previous week, the offers were around USD 430-435/MT CFR basis.
Deals reported last week to Vietnam:
— Towards last weekend, an Indian steel mill booked 10,000 MT of HRC at USD 432-435/MT CFR for Jul end-early Aug’20 shipments.
— Japan’s Nippon steel booked around 40,000 MT HRC to Vietnam at USD 435-440/MT CFR basis for Aug’20 shipments.
— Russian based Severstal steel mill booked around 40,000 MT HRC to Vietnam at 425/MT CFR basis for July- Aug’20 shipment.
