Vietnam: Hoa Phat crude steel production up 70% y-o-y in Jul’21

Vietnam’s leading steel maker, the Hoa Phat Group, posted a 70% y-o-y growth in its crude steel production to 700,000 t in Jul’21. Steel sales for the month were recorded at 600,000 t, of which long steel products accounted for 363,000 t, HRCs at 160,000 t and the rest were steel pipes and galvanised steel products. The company’s cumulative steel production totalled 4.8 mn t and sales were at 4.9 mn t in Jan-Jul’21.
